Tirthan’s trout-teeming waters are an angler’s dream come true. Exquisite, rare pheasants call it home, too. While waking up to mellifluous birdsong is a prescriptive way to begin your day, walking the quaint stream-side trails will leave you hungry for more. All this awaits a mere gurgle, chirp, and call away from our cottages. Tirthan Valley is clean, green and great for trekking, overnight camping, and all others sorts adventurous activities.
Hiking
Pack your trekking gear to best savor the breathtaking beauty of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Great Himalayan National Park is a blessing in disguise for nature lovers. From lush green forests to blooming flowers and meandering streams, this place also houses various well laid out trek paths.
Depending on the difficulty level, one has an option to choose from half day, full day, overnight or multiple day camping. Whatever you may opt for, this place does promise a wonderful experience and equally amazing trip.
Fishing
The Tirthan valley is legendary fishing country, boasting some of the richest trout rivers/streams in this part of the world. It is no exaggeration when we claim the valley is a virtual paradise for anglers. Our cottages are strategically located between Kalwari stream and river Tirthan and guests are encouraged to fish for their supper! Trout fishing permits are inexpensive and easily obtained. Angling guides/experts are available on request. So, pack your best gear and bring your A-game. Let’s not let them get away!

Walk To Chaini Kothi Village
The tallest standing structure of its kind in the entire Western Himalayas. It survived the devastating 1905 Kangra earthquake, although it ended up two storeys short . Visit for lessons in resilience!
Guided Orchad Walk
An escorted ramble through woodlands and orchards in the vicinity of our cottages that promises to leave you enervated and educated. And watch the birds watch you!
The valley is abundant in mesmerizing waterfalls and the famous Serloaskar lake. Legend has it that the lake is protected by 100 sons of a goddess!
