We had a dream. Of a home tucked away in the mountains. We imagined it next to a stream,we wished for a fabulous view; to be able to see clouds roll by and to witness many a magnificent sunset and sunrise. We wished to be able to lie under the starriest sky and to be able to walk in a forest and bathe in a stream. The dream came true. We now have a home in the valley;warm and cosy.

With rooms that are sunbathed in the morning and moonstruck at night. A quirky home,replete with a staircase inside the bedroom leading to an attic which has a glass roof. It isn’t perfect,this home of ours but it is magical and beautiful. Then,we built a few more rooms and opened our hearts and cottages for guests. We became Gone fishing cottages.( in case you’re wondering, the name was chosen by Uppi) “May those who enter as guests leave as friends”. These words greet all guests at the entrance and they are a reminder to us that every person who steps over our threshold is a fellow traveller and thereby, a kindred spirit and we hope that his/her journey with us forges a strong bond and creates indelible memories.

Dimple and Uppi, the creators of Gone Fishing Cottages have travelled across the world extensively and made a home which provides comfort for those looking to enjoy the mountains or those wanting to take a break from their busy city life. Gone Fishing Cottages are not a resort but truly a home away from home.
